Handbags for charity: What could be better?
The talented, upcoming design duo Helen Clinch and Myra Nigris, AKA, luxury label, Hemyca, have this time turned their talents to help the amazing charity, Age UK.
Hemyca, pioneers of luxury, sustainable pieces, with fans including Cheryl Cole and The Saturdays to boast, have designed an exclusive handbag which will be available in two gorgeous opulent shades, to be sold for the mere snippet of £15. Jewel tones are a massive player for A/W 11 trends and this wonderful accessory hits the nail right on the head; made from ruby red or sapphire blue in a majestic velvet material.
Purchasing one of these will be worthwhile as you’ll be paying for the exact same quality and detail you would find in Hemyca’s ready-to-wear collections, which have been showcased for the past six seasons at London and Paris Fashion Weeks. There’s the soft-textured fabric, adorned with beautiful rose detail. The tote bag does have a certain gothic quality to it; that’s two trends in one sorted!
Age UK helps elderly people in our country with everything from working and learning to health and wellbeing. The Head of Trading, Helena Brett, is looking forward to the launch in September, stating they “hope to raise thousands for the charity with this new designer bag with a conscience.”
So what are you waiting for? You’re giving while you’re buying so your conscience can rest safely. The bags will be available from September in over 200 Age UK stores, with 100% of all net profits being donated to the cause. Go on… give a little!
